Mission: The Technology, Innovation and Design Graduate Association provides a professional and social network for MBA students interested in making a difference in all business aspects of technology. Technology is vital in every post-MBA career path, and we hope to create a dynamic community of MBA students with a passion for high-tech and innovative, design-focused thinking. Though a young student organization, we are a committed group with diverse work experience in numerous functions, at both large tech firms and growing start-ups. Through digital platforms and local events, we aim to inspire our members and the Georgetown community to understand the role of technology, innovation and design in business.
Main Activities:
- Recruiting: We work with the Career Center and partner with other student organizations to build upon existing relationships and form new connections with major local and nationwide technology firms. These relationships often include on-campus speakers, company visits, and job opportunities.
- Education: Whether we are leading a software educational class or blogging on current industry news, our club aims to educate members and the greater Georgetown community through a variety of channels.
-
Challenge: We host both a Fall and Spring case competition focused on tech and innovation. For example, we partnered with DC Metro to propose innovative solutions for the DC public bus system for our Spring 2012 competition.
